AVAproject Fusion 2019 Has Arrived!

The newest edition of AVAproject Fusion for 2019 is now in general release

AVAproject Fusion has revolutionized business intelligence in the architectural industry since its introduction in 2011. It has enabled AVAware software users to combine, filter, sort, group and analyze project data, creating completely custom reports for any conceivable purpose.

The 2015 edition of AVAproject Fusion brought with it the Fusion Integration Kit, allowing the material data to be prepared into order documents and exported to any accounting / ERP system.

This latest update not only contains great new features and optimizations of existing functions, it also lays the groundwork for some big server-centric features being introduced later this year.

AVAware User Login Toolbar

The AVAware User Login Toolbar used in AVAproject is now available in AVAproject Fusion. The toolbar currently allows users to log in using their AVAware User Account, and also view the latest news on the AVAwire Flash. As the "Shared Resources" are expanded within AVAproject and the rest of the AVAware suite of products, Fusion will be linked in to this same resource pool for shared Fusion Libraries, Connector Files, Plugins, etc.

Open Order Mode

When enabled, Fusion does not "lock up" Vendor/Shipment sourcing selections for Material List items upon export. This allows the selections to be altered and order documents re-exported, regardless of the existence of these items on actual order documents in the destination accounting/ERP system. Users are advised to exercise caution using this feature; while it does keep the sourcing selections open and make the creation of Purchase / Sales Orders in the destination accounting/ERP system very quick and easy, it essentially disables the controls that make efforts to prevent double-ordering, etc.

Report Generator Enhancements

User-Defined Page Breaks have been added. When generating reports, sometimes it is desirable to dictate where page breaks occur so that the final report is displayed nicely with certain groups of data starting on new pages. The Fusion Report editor now includes a "Break" setting in the "Columns" area that allows users to specify which groups are to start on new pages. When used in a Report where the "Subtitle Individual Groups" setting has been used in the "Grouping" options, the "Break" setting causes a Page Break to occur on the Printed Report where any of the indicated column value(s) change.

Switches for adding vertical gridlines, horizontal gridlines or both to a Fusion Report are now available in the Report editor. These stylistic additions can make

many reports easier to read, and add a refined layer of polish to the output documents. The switches can be found in the "Material List View Options" tab in the "Options" area of the editor.

New "Accounting Settings"

Purchase Order and Sales Order settings moved from "AVAproject Fusion Preferences" to a new "Accounting Settings" dialog. This new dialog will host all settings related to Accounting/ERP, including the upcoming central server configuration settings.

Additionally, just as an added measure of convenience, when a Fusion Purchase Order or Sales Order is opened, the destination accounting ERP system plugin is automatically selected (if there is only one plugin installed).

The newest version of AVAproject Fusion includes many enhancements and optimizations designed to make creating custom reports and sourcing materials for accounting/ERP purposes easier and more efficient. For more information, see the 'Release Notes' available in the software's 'Help' file, or on the 'Product Updates' page on the AVAware website.

AVAproject Fusion 2019 is now being rolled out for general release. Users will be automatically notified when the new version is available for download through the 'AVAwire Flash' service.
