Selecting an accounting/ERP solution can be an arduous process. The wide assortment of product offerings extend as widely as do their costs, which can range from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars. The real challenge is in finding the solution that best suits the needs of your specific business. Simply put, no two businesses are alike. It follows that no single accounting package is going to be ideal for everyone.
While most detailing and estimating packages have chosen to support a single accounting platform and force their users to adapt to it, AVAware has taken an entirely different approach. Recognizing the individual and evolving needs of our many users, AVAware has created AVAproject Fusion; an integration platform that allows AVAproject users to integrate with the accounting package of their choice.

Through the use of custom designed "connector" modules, AVAproject Fusion is able to take advantage of integration APIs ("Application Programming Interface") offered by the various accounting system developers. These APIs allow the seamless exchange of information between AVAproject and the accounting/ERP package. AVAproject Fusion is able to harvest the relevant project data originating from AVAproject, and manage it through the product sourcing and staging processes. Purchase and sales orders, initiated by Fusion, are automatically created in the accounting package.
Meanwhile, AVAproject users are able to view the order status of all the products relating to a given opening right from the opening schedule. A convenient "popup" displays all the purchase and sales orders generated for each of the door, frame and hardware items.

The benefits of this type of open integration extend far beyond the obvious one of providing freedom of choice in terms of accounting system. In many circumstances, the implementation of a much-needed detailing and estimating solution is delayed by the need to find a complementary accounting package that can work alongside it. For too often, project teams are forced to endure outdated or manual processes while they wait to find estimating and accounting packages that will work together. AVAproject Fusion allows users to adopt AVAproject in their detailing and estimating department, confident in the know that future integration with their accounting system of choice is possible.
Over time and as business grow, they often find themselves outgrowing their current accounting solutions. In other situations, companies find their current package simply doesn't serve their needs as well as it used to. In these situations, AVAproject Fusion provides another outstanding benefit. Companies are able to smoothly transition to a new accounting package while preserving their investment in the font-end estimating system. Moreover, that transition can take place without interrupting the vital detailing and estimating processes. AVAproject Fusion even allows multiple accounting systems to be used "in parallel" with each other. This allows prospective new accounting solutions to be tested and evaluated while maintaining the current one alongside it.
