AVAware is proud to announce the first AVAproject release of 2022! This new release of AVAproject contains a variety of new features in addition to numerous enhancements to existing ones.

The following is a partial list of the new features available in AVAproject. A complete list can be found in the 'Release Notes', available on the AVAware website or in the software itself.

	Openings can be added or moved from one openings schedule to another in the Hardware Group editor
	Global product search can be performed by general product descriptions in additional to codes
	Accessory and Miscellaneous items can now be assigned to specific product groups
	Brand new frame profiles can now be automatically rendered for 'hospital', 'kerf', 'thermal break' and other types of frames
	Internal notes can now be added and maintained in individual hardware groups
	Enhanced support for AVAware Plugin for Autodesk® Revit®
	Additional variable types supported in hardware descriptions
	Additional sorting, export and reporting features have been added or enhanced

The 2022 edition of AVAproject (rev 22.1) is now available for download on the AVAware website. Update notifications will roll out to users through the month of March, but those anxious to get the new version immediately are certainly welcome to do so.

The new year is upon us, and with it a new round of catalog updates from many of the industry's major manufacturers.

Given current circumstances, manufacturer catalog updates have been understandably erratic over the past couple of years. The AVAware catalog development team has continued to work diligently to keep up with updates and make them available to AVAproject users by their effective dates.

At this point Allegion, Assa Abloy and others have released updates to their pricing that came into effect within the first two months of the year. Dormakaba has also announced updates to their newly rebranded catalogs effective March 25, 2022.

The following is detailed list of the catalog releases thus far and their effective dates.

All updated catalogs are available to AVAproject users that are currently subscribed to Division-8 Hardware.

Assa Abloy has announced the merger of two brands, Norton and Rixson, into a new combined product offering. The aptly named 'Norton Rixson' catalog will contain all the products currently found in the two.

The AVAware catalog library will reflect this change in the Assa Abloy catalog updates released in February 2022. The previously separate 'Norton' and 'Rixson' catalogs will be replaced online with the newly combined edition.

Please note that AVAproject users of those catalogs will need to specifically select the new 'Norton Rixson' catalog for download, as the automatic update feature of will no longer see updates to the older edition catalogs.

The new 'Norton Rixson' catalog is available as of February 1, 2022 to AVAproject users that are currently subscribed to Division-8 Hardware.
