Allegion SpeXtra Import Receives Overwhelming Response

AVAproject’s new Allegion’s SpeXtra import facility launched to widespread enthusiasm from users that were excited about the prospect of receiving pre-written project specifications directly from a leading hardware manufacturer.

The December 2015 release of AVAproject (Rev 15.4), brought with it a number of powerful new features and enhancements to the software. Amongst them was a brand new import facility that allowed users to import files created by Allegion’s “SpeXtra” spec. writing system directly into AVAproject.

Even based on the initial response, it was apparent that this feature was going to be well received. But no one could have imagined just how well. AVAware’s sales and support teams have been inundated with calls from enthusiastic users wanting to know how and where they could get their hands on SpeXtra files for their current projects. So here it is...

According to Allegion, distributors need only email SpeXtraHelp@allegion.com (or their local SSC office) for assistance. In the body of the email, users are asked to provide the following information:

  1. Contact information (ie: name, company, phone no., etc.)
  2. The project’s name
  3. The project’s full address
  4. The ‘SpeXtra Control No.’ (if known)

Should any user be unsure about any of the requested details, Allegion advises them to send the email anyway. An Allegion customer service representative will gladly assist them in locating the project information they’re looking for.
